When students head back to school many of them will face new rules this fall. From fashion to cell phones - many districts are cracking down.
It's that time of year again. Kids heading back to school...new clothes, new supplies and new rules. Districts across the area are looking at changes.
The code of conduct is a bit more specific here at
And changes are on the way in Brockport as well (phone rings) Excuse me a second...Hello…on second thought maybe I should take this later...that's because if students are caught with there cell phones in school here and that rule not only applies to students.
Teachers too are being asked to keep their cell phones hidden during the school day. While students and staff can bring them into school, they must remain off. Not only because of the potential distraction - but with texting and internet available on so many...they're also a threat during tests...technology is allowing for new ways to cheat.
Not sure what changes are in store at your child's school? Most now post their code of conduct on the web. Just have your kid check, just maybe not on their cell phone.
