Sign of honor for fallen officers

Thirteen Rochester police officers killed in the line of duty since the year 1919 will be honored with street signs bearing their name today. The signs have the officers name, rank, date of death, and the RPD logo on them. The signs will be placed at the location where each officer made the ultimate sacrifice. This program is modeled after one in place for the Buffalo Police Department.
