Deadly plane crash in Penfield

Two people are dead after a small plane crash in Penfield Thursday morning.Witnesses say the single engine seaplane took off around 11:25am. It had trouble gaining altitute, banked, then crashed into a wooded area near Empire Boulevard. This is near the south end of Irondequoit Bay.
The plane was fully engulfed in flames. Two deceased victims were found on scene.
Authorities are searching for any other victims in the area, but have not found any.
The FAA is on scene.
Empire Boulevard in that area is closed while fire and police crews investigate.
