Bike Path Rapist to spend 75 to life in prison

The so-called Bike Path Rapist was sentenced today in Buffalo, but not before he spoke out.

Altemio Sanchez told the judge whatever punishment they gave him, he " deserved it."

He then received 75 years to life in prison.

The judge said it was in the best interest of the court for sanchez to "never see freedom again."

Sanchez has admitted to the 1990 Amherst bike path murder of Linda Yalem along with two other murders.

Since his conviction, Sanchez has admitted to 15 additional rapes, including two in Delaware Park.
