Karl Rove to resign

After six-and-a-half years as a political adviser to President Bush, Republican strategist Karl Rove will resign from his position by the end of the month.
Rove told the "Wall Street Journal" that he just thinks it's time, and that, quote, "as much as I'd like to be here, I've got to do this for the sake of my family." Rove remains optimistic that his friend and boss George W.
Bush will move back up in polls, which have recently dropped to record lows for the two-term president.
He is also confident that, quote, "Iraq will be a better place" as the troop surge continues.
Rove added that he believes Republicans have a very good chance in the 2008 presidential election.
