Irondequoit Bay Bridge inspection

baybridge2007-08-10-1186783549.jpgOne side of the Irondequoit Bay Bridge has passed an inspection with flying colors.


After last week's Minnesota bridge collapse, DOT crews have been inspecting the Bay Bridge and forty eight others like it across the state. Friday, work wrapped up on the north side of the bridge. No problems were found. Work on the south side of the bridge starts Monday.


Along with the Bay Bridge, the Smith Street Bridge has also been ordered to undergo inspection.
