Friday, The truck was found in an undisclosed location after a tip came in. Police say where the truck was found had not significance to the investigation.
What's unique about the truck is that it can be used on roadways, off-road, and on rails and the truck had tools inside it that could be used to damage railroad tracks.
Brockport Police Chief Daniel Varrenti says, "In the past, you would probably say that was done on a dare, today, with post 911 thoughts, anything and everything that's stolen in going to be looked upon as to what the potential could be with that vehicle."
No arrests have been made. Sources tells News 8 the vehicle was easy to steal because the keys were left inside. The company which owns the truck, Falls Road Railroad Maintenance-of-Way Department, did not return calls.
