Local Marine dies in Iraq

Reynold Armand, 21, was a 2004 Eastridge High School graduate.
Family members say Reynold was a shy quiet Christian young man who didn't like a lot of attention, but loved his country , and understood the risks of his mission in Iraq.
The details surrounding his death are sketchy, so far family memebr say they were told by military officials he was shot in the head.
Armand was a 2004 graduate of Eastridge High School who went into the Marines after graduating
Armand was deployed to Iraq in january. His tour was supposed to last a year. He was home just two weeks ago visiting his family before he returned to Iraq on July 28th.
Armand's family says he never liked the attention he got from family friends and even strangers for serving in Iraq.
He just wanted to do his job and serve his country.
"Reynold was a beautiful person, beautiful guy, very proud of what he did," said his mother, Alma Armand.
"He knows he was defending this country he loved, this country," said his father, Carl Armand.
