Amazing new video is just coming in regarding the Minnesota bridge collapse. This video was taken by a Department of Transportation traffic camera, seconds before the bridge gave way.
Right now it's pointed in the opposite direction of the bridge.
You can see the final few cars that made it across in the right lane.
But you'll notice traffic headed toward the bridge is coming to a halt.
That's when a DOT worker monitoring traffic realized something was wrong.
The worker decides to turn the camera toward the bridge and this is what is seen.
The 35W bridge over the Mississippi River has just collapsed.
People in their cars have slammed on their brakes to avoid going over the edge.
Some are out of their cars and running.
Others are turning their cars around and going back in the opposite direction.
All counting their blessings they weren't driving a little faster or they would have found themselves on the bridge when it collapsed.
At this point, five people are confirmed dead with 8 people still missing.
