The Rochester Police Department collected 102 guns during its gun collection program Saturday.
The "No Questions Asked!" Gun Drop-Off is part of a community wide effort to reduce violent crime in
the City of Rochester.
Members of the clergy as well as members of the RPD provide assistance to members of the community wishing to turn in a gun.
With Wegman's sponsorship of this program, each person returning one gun or more
to any one of the 5 local drop off points got a $50 gift certificate which is
redeemable in any one of it's Wegmans stores.
Police personnel makes sure the guns are safe, then takes custody of the
gun with "no questions asked".
