Man charged with killing girlfriend

court2007-08-06-1186437041.jpgA Rochester man accused of killing his girlfriend faces murder charges.


Anthony Lister, 42, was arraigned in city court Monday morning for the stabbing death of 27-year old LaShanna Jenkins.


Jenkins was found dead inside her home on Watkins Terrace Saturday morning.


Prosecutors say Lister stabbed Jenkins in the back several times and hit her on the head with a blunt oject.


Lister pleaded not guilty in court .


The stabbing was first reported to neighbors by Jenkins' 7 year old daughter who was home with her 4 year old sister and 2 year old brother.
