Arrest made in Churchville fire

A 17 year-old from Churchville has been arrested in connection with a fire that injured two firefighters in Churchville on Monday. Police say Timothy A. Parker, of 4 Main Street in Churchville started the fire when he ignited a letter. The letter ignited a mattress and bedding, setting the apartment ablaze. Parker was charged with Arson in the Fourth Degree and issued an appearance ticket. Officers say the firefighters suffered minor injuries putting the fire out yesterday afternoon, but they're both expected to be okay. No one else was injured The fire damaged some other apartments in a shared building, as well as a doctor's office.

Parker is set to appear in Riga Town Court in about two weeks.
