A Genesee River rescue

riverman2007-07-29-1185744804.jpgEmergency crews pulled a man out of the Genesee River Sunday afternoon.

It happened around 3 p.m. Rural Metro says a man believed to be drunk jumped into the river. They pulled him out of the water from the bridge on Andrews Street. Witnesses say the man wanted to cool off.

He appeared to have no injuries, but was taken to Strong Hospital as a precaution.
