A rival of Bausch and Lomb's is trying to keep its takeover offer alive.
Advanced Medical Optics tried to improve its chances of buying Bausch and Lomb by offering two alternatives.
Bausch and Lomb already accepted a $3.6 billion cash bid by private equity firm Warburg Pincus when Advanced Medical Optics made its bid.
Bausch and lomb's board informed AMO earlier this week that its bid was inferior.
No word on the company's response late Friday..
