A dump truck flipped over this morning on Interstate 490 and the driver was sent to the hospital.
MonroeCounty sheriff's deputies responded to the rollover around Wednesday morning. The rear tire of a truck blew out...that along with the heavy gravel in the back caused the truck to flip. The driver was taken to StrongHospital with a head injury but is expected to be okay.
Captain Michael Radler of the MonroeCounty sheriff's department says this crash was not as serious as it could have been. "Fortunately he rolled away from the other cars so no other cars were involved and no one else was injured."
Police are focusing their investigation on the truck's tires as they may have been illegal.
