Monroe County Sheriff Patrick O’Flynn described the scene when his deputies arrived at 39 Green Acorn Lane at about 9:30 Saturday night.
“Inside there was extensive damage to the body and there was quite a bit of blood splattered throughout the house,” O’Flynn said.

O’Flynn says a neighbor called police.
.
“It appears as though the neighbor saw some activity going on as far as a car leaving and then there was some communication with other family members to check on the individual thats when the discovery was made,” said O’Flynn.
Neighbors in the quiet neighborhood were shocked by the news. Some residents tell News Eight Now Mox had a history of mental problems.
“I understand from neighborhood gossip that the son had some mental problems and we did see the sheriff up there quite a bit weve seen him arrested a few times with ambulance and probably MHA something like that,” said Mandy Thompson.
.
Sheriff O’Flynn declined to comment on whether Mox had a history of mental health problem. However. he says Mox did not have a criminal history.
Mox was arraigned in Henrietta Town court on a 2nd degree murder charge. He’s being held in the Monroe County jail without bail.
