Search for missing Chili teen intensifies Saturday

An intense search for a missing Chili teen will begin Saturday.

Brian Sullivan's parents say they have few clues as to where he may have gone. 

"We just aren't sure, we aren't sure if he's hurt out in these fields."

Barbara and Daniel Sullivan don't believe their 19-year old son Brian ran away.  He's been missing since July 8th when he was last seen at the Burger King at Chili Avenue at about 5:30 in the morning.

"You don't runaway when you are 19, you would leave if you wanted to and we're just not sure and hopefully we'll get some answers," said Brian's mother Barbara.

It was at the end of Lettington Avenue that Brian Sullivan's car was found - his wallet locked inside and it was in the nearby woods where they will begin their search for Sullivan. They have a lot of dense brush to look through."

"Well you can see some of the wooded section in here how thick that is," said Gates Fire Chief James Harrington.

Harrington will assist in Saturday's search.  About 80 people will comb through the wooded area.

"They're going to be using GPS technology along with pictometry, the aerial photography of that area."

"We'll be using this information and sending data back and forth from the field to the command post here where Massasauga will be able to utilize that information."

The Monroe County Sheriff's Department will head the search with the help of the Massasauga search and rescue team, a group famiiar with tough terrain.

"That's one of the reasons we want to get some of the folks who are very professional in this and very methodical so we can go through that area with a fine tooth comb "

Authorities welcome any tips from the public, but are asking they let professionals conduct Saturday's search.
