The Orleans County Sheriffs Department has successfully ended a 1 month investigation of an indoor hydroponic marijuana grow operation. Investigators seized 50 marijuana plants from an apartment in the Village of Holly. Police say the operation was an elaborate system that used flowing water instead of soil, along with high intensity lights, fertilizer and fans. Police also seized dried marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia from the apartment. 20 year-old Stephen P. Hendee Jr. has been charged with the felony of criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree and a misdemeanor of unlawfully growing the plant. Hendee will return back to Town off Murray Court on July 26, 2007.
