Developers hope to break ground sometime in October or November. The 86 acre resort would be called the Glacier Lakes Resort and Aquazonia Indoor Water-world. It would include a 70-thousand square foot heated indoor water-park, 2 hotels, restaurants, a spa and a Regional Convention Center which would allow Ontario County to attract State-wide conventions.
Final approval of the plans is expected within the next 2 months. Developers hope to have Phase 1 of the resort up and running by this time next year.
There are plans for Phase two which include a large shopping center. The resort is expected to attract 300-thousand people a year and generate an additional 20 to 25-million dollars for the tourism industry.
