The Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester sponsors the "Pink Ribbon Run", a Women's 5K Race and Family 2.5 Mile Fitness Walk. Every dollar raised stays in the Rochester community to benefit the lives of those impacted by breast cancer. The mission of BCCR is to make eradication of breast cancer a priority through education and advocacy; to empower women and men to participate fully in decisions relating to breast cancer; to provide support to those coping with a breast cancer diagnosis; and to promote and focus research into the cause, prevention, treatment, and cure of breast cancer.
