As fashion weeks around the world come to an end, one local clothier - Adrian Jules Gentlemen's Custom Clothing - returns home from debuting their latest ready-to-wear and made-to-measure collections for spring '07. They return with fashion advice for fellow Rochesterians on how to dress for success!
Adrian Jules Ltd. was founded in 1964 by Adriano Roberti, master tailor and designer from Brescia, Italy and has been manufacturing high quality hand tailored men’s clothing for the finest custom tailors and specialty stores providing “the Best Worn Secret in America to their affluent clientele.
Today under the guidance of brothers Arnald and Peter Roberti, we are expanding by promoting our brand to a select group of the best merchants across the country.
Beginning as a Cut, Make, and Trim House has always been a distinct and unique advantage. We understand the custom process. Our production has always been dedicated to individually cut garments rather than mass manufacturing of ready-to-wear. Our customer service staff is on call and waiting to assist you to ensure your clients satisfaction.
Adrian Jules Ltd. manufactures the finest Grade Six garment in men’s clothing.
Each order is individually processed and cut by hand to your measurements and specifications. While mass production techniques have become the norm in our industry, our craftsmen painstakingly cut, trim and stitch our garments by hand, using machines only as extension of their talented hands. Each coat is pressed and shaped by hand. We use the finest materials available from quality canvases and Bemberg linings, to handmade buttonholes. Hand-sewn top collars, undercollars, shoulder linings, armholes, sleeves, and coat bottoms create a soft supple look with a sturdy finish that most shops can only attempt to imitate with machines.
Adriano Roberti, our founder, made a promise to himself in 1964 when he started his company. After working alongside and witnessing superb craftsmen shape cloth into fine garments with such simple tools as a scissors, needle, thread, tailors’ chalk, and a hot iron, Adriano decided that the most important element in his company would be his personnel-craftsmen with the skill to produce a garment using only the basic tailoring implements. It is a promise that Adriano has never broken and Adrian Jules Ltd. has stubbornly clung to.
We make custom-tailored men’s garments including topcoats, and tuxedoes. All standard coats feature matching sleeve lining (harmony trim), four inside pockets, coin pocket, four buttons on the sleeve, and plain Bemberg full lining. All trousers feature hand top finishing, non-curl waistband, hand-sewn bottoms (upon request), a French fly, two hip pockets, buttoned left and plain right, and coin pocket, unless otherwise specified. All topcoats feature two inside breast pockets and a large scarf pocket. The outside lower pockets are lined in velveteen-velour for added warmth.
Our quality-conscious tailoring is under careful supervision and is inspected to produce the finest custom-tailored garment available. The fine reputation we presently enjoy within our industry is a direct result of more than forty years of hard work and a strict adherence to our policy of quality tailoring and friendly personal service combined with prompt, dependable delivery.
The prestigious Robb Report featured Adrian Jules as the only American suitmaker that still does most of the tailoring by hand. Many of our outstanding dealers have also been honored in numerous articles about high quality custom tailoring. In November 1991 we were bestowed the honor of being listed in Town & Country Magazine, Guide to America’s Top Tailors and in the April 1999 issue of Cigar Aficionado we have been recognized as one of the few remaining shops that provide genuine custom-made apparel.
