Vocal Music teacher Cynthia Towler says it's a joy to work with Colby and his peers. "They are a challenge to me and my musicianship, so it keeps me on my toes!"
Colby plans on studying engineering in college, but always with his eye on music. "Music on one hand is more artistic and engineering is more logical thinking," he says, "but they both have their own aspects which is very important to me, and I love both."
At the age of 18, Colby's already a veteran of community theater. He's learned to appreciate all genres of music, especially jazz. "Like the croooners, Frank Sinatra," he says.
Congratulations, Colby Cushing!
