Marshawn Lynch will sit out the first three games of the 2009 season, according to a report late Wednesday by ESPN.com. The story claims an official announcement could come Thursday and that Lynch will appeal the suspension.
Lynch was arrested February in California and later pled guilty to a misdemeaor charge of gun possession. Last spring, Lynch was also involved with a hit and run investigation in Buffalo. That case ended with Lynch pleading guilty to a traffic violation.

Owens had not attended any of the teams previous sessions this spring and said two weeks ago he would not show up for anything that was not mandatory.
