This is one of Jordan DiSanto's favorite---and most acclaimed---creations. It depicts the traditional nativity scene. But if you look closely, the Power Rangers fill the key roles. They were his favorite toys as a child, and themes of childhood can be found in his artwork. "I like when people look at my artwork and they get a kick out of it, laugh at it, check it out," says Jordan. DiSanto has always loved art. He prefers working with colored pencil. From still life to surreal, his work reflects Jordan's precision and speed. His teachers say he's always willing to take risks. Newark High School art teacher Renee Bailey says, "Jordan''s just one of those kids- you give him an idea- and he'll run with it, and you're never disappointed." "I always think about what I'm going to do first, then half the time I don't like the ideas, so I just keep thinking until something I know is going to work and then I do it," says Jordan. Some day DiSanto would like to be an animator. He dreams of working for one of the great movie animation companies, like Pixar. He hopes to attend RIT. Already his most provocative painting has been shown there. "It's Power Rangers in the Nativity!" he says.
