Mendon 52, Athena 49

Carly Napier had 18 points and 7 rebounds as Mendon narrowly escaped Athena with a 52-49 win in the semifinals of the girls Monroe County tournament Tuesday night at Penfield. Athena missed a three with four seconds left that would have tied the game. Mendon will not face unbeaten Penfield in the finals on Thursday.
