Benoit Groulx waited 8 years for his opportunity to become a Head Coach in the AHL. In August of 2008, the Amerks gave him that chance. Rochester slumped out of the gate, going 3-18-0 in his first 21 games. Nobody took it harder than Groulx, but Coach never lost confidence in himself or his team. The Amerks have since rebounded from that terrible start thanks to Goaltender, Mike Brodeur who is 12-5-2 as a starter since joining the team in early December.
