Amerks 1-On-1: Mike Brodeur

Mike Brodeur has finally found a home and it's right here with the Amerks. The last 3 years have been tough on Mike; he's bounced around playing for 6 different teams in 3 seasons.
Mike says you have to be ready to pick up and go. He remembers a time when he was sitting on his couch at 11 PM, getting a call from a team, and having to catch a flight at 5 AM. He says it's been hard to remember some of the guys he's even played with because he's moved around so much.
What about Superstitions?
Mike says he has "a couple." He dresses his left leg first when he gets ready before a game. Then, during the game, he always skates to his own corner. He's been doing this ever since he was a little kid.
Like all hockey players, Mike dreams of playing in the NHL. But, that dream almost vanished when he was 22 years old.
3 years ago, Mike underwent back surgery. The Doctors told him he might not be able to play again. He's come back, worked hard, and is now having the best season of his career with the Amerks.
