Changes in Bills Toronto Series Meant to Attract Fans

Updated: December 12, 2008

Officially, the Rogers Centre in Toronto was just 1,000 fans short of capacity for the Bills-Dolphins game last Sunday.   The venue, which has also hosted a Buffalo Bills preseason game, has seen mixed success.

The Bills have started broadening their fan base and corporate band over the northern border and are now beginning to reap the benefits.  They get $9.75-million dollars per game, for a total of $78 million for the five-year series.

Rogers Communications is hinting at two changes to improve the four-year run, which are playing the last four regular-season games earlier in the season and reducing ticket prices, which are over four-times the level of Ralph Wilson Stadium prices.

Rogers said it's doing everything they can to get the less-than-interested fans from last Sunday's game to continue to come, saying things will get better.
