News 8 Now shines the Scholastic Arts Spotlight on Chris VerSchneider of Canandaigua Academy. Chris works behind the scenes to make sure others shine on stage. He's well on his way to mastering all aspects of Technical Theater. In fact, he's so good at what he does, he was hired as Stage Manager for the Rochester City Ballet! He was also hired by Mercury Opera Rochester to do props for Madame Butterfly at the Eastman Theater this past January.
Chris is the Steward of the Production Crew at Canandaigua Academy. His peers call him a great leader. Like the performers on stage, he follows a script, and like any artist, he thrills to the sound of applause for a job well done. Next fall, he will attend SUNY Oswego to major in Technical Theater. Congratulations, Chris VerSchneider!
