april192007-01-22-1169484986.jpgNews 8 Now shines the Scholastic Arts Spotlight on Adam Goodman, a senior at Brighton High School.

At the age of 18, Adam is already an award-winning sculptor. He makes works of art out of just about anything he can get his hands on, from metal and wood, to foam insulation, cardboard, plaster and glass.

Adam has studied art at Nazareth College and Cornell University, and traveled abroad to visit art museums in France, Spain and Israel. His teachers say even as a freshman at Brighton High, Adam's talent and character captured their attention.

Adam is also a talented musician and skier, and though he likes drawing and painting, he says he's at peace with the world when he's sculpting. Next fall, he will attend Cornell University's College of Art and Architecture. Congratulations Adam Goodman!
