This week our Scholastic Arts Spotlight shines on Jacqui Dummer, a senior at Webster Thomas High School. Jacqui has always loved painting and drawing. In art AP art class, she stands out for her dedication, and her work is getting noticed. Her portfolio was one of 18 selected for a gold key at the Scholastic Art Awards in Rochester. Now it goes to New York City for the national competition.
Jacqui is a peer leader, a camp counselor, a swimmer and an A-student. She's considering a career that allows her to combine her love for art with her desire to help people, perhaps in art therapy, or teaching. Congratulations Jacqui! Scholastic Arts Spotlight is sponsored by WROC-TV and Canandaigua National Bank.
