Fatal Car Accident in Macedon

One man is dead and a woman seriously injured after a car accident Thursday night on Route 31 in Macedon.

Macedon police say the crash happened around 9:45 p.m. between Alderman Road and Yellow Mills Road. Officers believe Linda Lucas, 66, was driving in the wrong lane when she hit another vehicle head on. Paul Anderson, 62, died at the scene. Lucas was taken to Strong Hospital in serious condition. She remains in satisfactory condition.

Investigators don't believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.  The accident remains under investigation.
