Kori Bayne-Walker scored 22 points to guide Gates-Chili past Cicero-North Syracuse 58-47 in the Class AA state semifinals Friday night at Hudson Valley Community College.

Cierra Dillard also had 13 points for the Spartans. Bayne-Walker and Diona Johnson made four three-pointers apiece as Gates had ten from downtown as a team.

The Spartans led by 12 at the half, 14 after three quarters and by 18 early in the fourth, but C-NS cut the lead to six with just 4:30 to go.

However, Bayne-Walker drilled a clutch three to push the lead back to nine and put the game away.

Gates-Chili will face Ossining in Saturday night's Class AA title game. It'll tip at 8:45pm back at HVCC.
