Police: Man Murders Woman After Raping 10-Year-Old Child

One woman is dead after a brutal attack and kidnapping at the Great Northern Mall near Syracuse Thursday night.
State Police say David Renz, 29, is suspected of kidnapping Lori Bresnahan, 47, and a 10-year-old child just before 9 p.m. Renz allegedly tied Bresnahan up, raped the child inside the car and then drove to the town of Clay. The child was able to escape and flag down a motorist near the roadway. Bresnahan was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds. She was later pronounced dead.
Renz is charged with rape, kidnapping, and two counts of murder.
