Elmo, Cookie Monster, and the Performance Director Jerry DuMars talked about this year's show Wednesday on News 8 at Noon.
DuMars said children will learn that music can be made in many ways, and adults will learn the value of introducing music into the lives of their children. The plot of this year's show will have Jenny, an enthusiastic new music teacher, arrive in Sesame Street, only to lose her instruments. Jenny's new muppet friends will help create music with their instruments, including rubber duckies, trash can lids, and even cookie jars.
Children and adults will recognize the music and be able to enjoy the performance on two levels according to DuMars.
Performance times at the Auditorium Theatre include:
Friday, March 15, 7 p.m.
Saturday, March 16, 10:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Sunday March 17, 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
