Man Rescued from Water in Town of Geneseo

An 18-year-old man had to be rescued from the falls in town of Geneseo Saturday evening.

Just before 6:30 p.m. Livingston County Sheriff John York reports a rope recovery had to be conducted to rescued Robert Benjamin of Warwick, who had fallen into the water after he was  viewing the falls with friends.

Benjamin was rescued with the assist of Geneseo Fire Department. The Livingston County Sheriff wants to remind the public that Fall Brook in Geneseo is on private property.
