Bryant Cromartie Sr. was a program administrator at East High School. Cromartie says he was denied tenure when he deserved it and was then fired by the district. The superintendent told Cromartie it was because of low test scores and his decline in attendance. Lots of parents showed up to the school board meeting to support him. Cromartie says the support from parents means a lot.
"It means a whole lot, it means that one, what I'm doing is working, it's just a testament to relationship building with people and students," Cromartie said.
The school board can support Cromartie's return to East High School, but ultimately it is the superintendent's job to decide if he can come back.
