Legislature To Introduce Resolution Against SAFE Act

By: WROC-TV
Updated: March 5, 2013
The Republican majority leader of the Monroe County legislature says there will be a challenge to the state's new gun law.

Anthony Daniele says he and other legislators are drafting the legislation. He says it will be introduced early next week. Daniele says the SAFE Act was hastily put together, infringes on the rights of gun owners and will not make for a safer environment. Monroe County joins several other counties, including Ontario, that are considering legislation to oppose the SAFE Act.
