The C.G. Finney Falcons needed all 40 of Chris Davidson's points scored to win against a feisty squad from Webster Christian to win 57-56 at Blue Cross Arena in the Section V D2 championship.

With four seconds remaining, Webster Christian tried a desperation shot at the buzzer from halfcourt, but Corey Nash tipped the shot away and never came close to the basket.

Davidson's 40 points came from making 14 of 27 shots, including 5 of 6 from beyond the 3-point arc. His final bucket came with 17 seconds left, putting the Falcons up for good. Finney has now won 5 sectional titles in the last 8 years. No surprise, Davidson was named tournament MVP.

Jake Todd led Webster Christian with 21 points, while Elijah Fletcher added 15. Fletcher had a chance to tie the game with 7 seconds left, but only made one of two free-throws, resulting in a 57-56 score.

Finney will take on University Prep in the Class D state tournament qualifier on Tuesday, March 5 at Webster Thomas at 7:00.
