Community To Learn Future Of Lakeside Hospital At Public Meeting

Lakeside Hospital will hold a neighborhood meeting Thursday to debrief the community on its future.

News 8 learned that that there is a possibility of saving the emergency department at the hospital. Sources tell us the CEO of Lakeside sent a memo telling staff the hospital is working with state health officials on a plan to keep the ER open. Two weeks ago the hospital announced it was closing its emergency department.

The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Sweden Senior Center in Brockport.
