Greece Athena 72, East 63

For the fifth time in nine years, the (2)Greece Athena Trojans are heading to a sectional final. At Blue Cross Arena, they used a steady three pronged offensive attack to upend (3)East High School 72-63.
Zac DiSalvo led the Trojans with 18 points. Jay Sarkis and Deion Hamilton each scored 17 for Athena. Dontay Caruthers scored a game-high 26 points, but the Orientals could not get over the hump during any comeback bids.
With the win, Athena will take on (1)Irondequoit in the Class AA2 sectional final at Blue Cross Arena at 5:00 on Sunday.
