A Rochester man is facing charges in a disturbing crime against an elderly woman.

The Attorney General's Office says Groven Glenn mistreated an 83-year-old woman at the Park Ridge Living Center Nursing Home in Greece.

The 52-year-old Glenn has since been fired from his job.

The Nursing Assistant admitted he was "angry" and "couldn't control himself" when the incident was caught on tape back in November.

Investigators with the attorney general's office say surveillance video shows the patient throwing a paper cup full of napkins at Glenn in the dining area.

Glenn then stood up and threw a chicken bone at the 83-year-old patient, knocking a plate of food on her lap.

Then, Glenn allegedly wheeled the patient in her wheelchair out of the room so forcefully, you can see her head cock back.

What happened next, investigators say, caused bruises on the patients' knee and ankle.

Catherine Wagner is with the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the Attorney General's Office. She said "The door opened out and not in, so he slammed her into the door, he pulled the wheelchair back and opened the door and put her into the room, causing injury."

Unity Health System, which operates the Park Ridge Living Center issued the following statement to News 8, saying quote:

"Consistent with our policies and practices, Unity took the necessary actions to ensure the patient's safety and well-being, investigated and proactively reported the incident, and took the appropriate action with the employee, terminating his employment."

The patient suffers from dementia and dysphagia, a swallowing disorder.

Glenn is due back in court on April 17th.
