New Texting Service For New Moms

By: WROC-TV
Updated: February 26, 2013
The State Department of Health is going mobile to help new and expectant mothers.

It is teaming up with Text4Baby, a free texting service that sends three tips a week to mothers. Nearly eight percent of all babies born in New York State are considered low birth weight, so this aims to improve the health of mothers. The text tips based on the woman's due date or baby's date of birth. The messages focus on all topics: immunizations, nutrition, flu and sleeping habits.
