Rochester police announced Monday the department has made an arrest related to an officer involved shooting from Saturday.

Davon Kendrick, 21, of Rochester was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Menacing a police officer.

Several officers responded to a call for a large fight on Avenue B near St. Paul Street around 2:45 Saturday.  While chasing the suspect, officers say Kendrick turned and pointed a handgun at them.  Officer Samuel Ognibene fired twice at the suspect, but the suspect was not struck.  Kendrick dropped the weapon and continued to run but was quickly taken into custody without incident.

Police recovered a 9mm Ruger handgun.
