Rochester Police Officer Fires Gun at Suspect

A Rochester Police Officer fired his gun at a suspect during a foot chase Saturday just after 3 p.m.

Police say the office responded to the reports of a large fight near Avenue B and St. Paul Street. After arriving on the scene a male reported to have a gun ran away, the police officer began pursuing the suspect.

Police then say that the man pulled out a pistol, the police officer than fired at the man but did not make contact. The man was arrested and is currently in custody.

No one was hurt in the shooting.
