New York's own version of the summer Olympics will not go on as planned this year.

The Empire Summer Games have been postponed a year because of a lack of funding. Organizers say corporate partners have been donating much of their funds this year to Hurricane Sandy relief and it was felt the decision to cancel was best. Right now the games are scheduled for 2014. No exact date has been set yet. It will still take place in Rochester.
