The visitors would get on the board first when Kevin Ten Eyck drilled a 3-point goal past McInerney. But 70 seconds later, Evan McNeley would tie the game with a 3-point goal of his own for the Lancers. Brayton Knapp's goal late in the quarter would give Rochester a 5-3 lead after the first quarter of play.
The Lancers would extend their lead midway through the second quarter on Alan McGreal's goal. But Wichita would get goals from Adrian Gonzalez and Miguel Ferrer to tie the game at 7-7 at halftime.
Less than a minute into the third quarter, Mauricio Salles would set up Jeremy Ortiz for the lone goal of the quarter and the Lancers would take a 9-7 lead into the final quarter.
Rey "Boom Boom" Martinez would put home the rebound of the Miller shot to double the Lancers lead just under seven minutes into the fourth quarter. Wichita would pull to within a point on Michael Mesle's 3-point goal. The Wings spent the rest of the game buzzing the Lancers goal, but key saves from McInerney and defensive plays from the likes of Jake Schindler allowed Rochester to hold on for the 11-10 win.
The Lancers will close out the 2012-13 regular season at home at Christopher J. Wilmot Field at the Blue Cross Arena on Sunday, February 24th when they host the Milwaukee Wave at 4 pm when Abby Wambach returns home as the Lancers' honorary captain.
