A native of the small town of Throopsville, outside Auburn, NY, Amy has a passion for storytelling. She graduated with honors from Wells College while working at her hometown radio station, WMBO. Soon thereafter, she began reporting and anchoring at WHEN Radio and WSYR Radio in Syracuse. In 1992, Amy left radio for what would be the beginning of a 20 year television career at R News/YNN in Rochester. She began reporting on the weekends and evolved with the station to become the anchor of the evening news for more than a decade. With a desire to always give back to a cause close to her heart, Amy worked as the Director of Development and Marketing at Pluta Cancer Center. After ten months in that role, Amy is back doing what she loves. She joined WROC-TV , News 8, in January 2013. When she is not on the air, Amy enjoys spending time with the loves of her life...her two children, Andrea and Drew. She also enjoys relaxing with family and friends, traveling, music....and a good cup of coffee!
