Wayne County GOP Chariman Arrested For DWI

The Wayne County Republican chairman has been arrested and charged for drunk driving.

Lyons Police say Daniel Olson, 61, was driving in the village without headlights on. Olson was pulled over and arrested after refusing a breathalyzer. Police say Olson has been the head of the Wayne County GOP Committee for the past 20 years. He was also convicted on a DWI charge prior to this arrest.

Olson was released and will appear in court at a later date.
