The Calm After the Storm

Rochester, NY - Call it the calm after the storm. Many people were inside, out of the elements by Friday evening, but some took advantage of the new snowfall to get out and enjoy it.
"We've lived here for a while, and we haven't explored it much, busy with work and stuff," says Rachel, who was out for a late-night stroll with her man. "We figured this is the perfect chance. Nobody is out, might as well see what's around."
Ashley and her friends battled the snow earlier today, but now, they too, are taking it all in.
"I hate to complain about it because it's so peaceful and serene," says Ashley Coakley. "That's what got us out of the house. We thought it was pretty, and figured we might as well walk to Jines."
It's a much different scene than what motorists experienced earlier today. Everywhere you turned, there were fender benders and good samaritans giving other drivers a helpful little nudge.
But who would have thought that the mess during the day would have turned into such a serene night.
"It's beautiful, honestly," says Tiffany Shepard. "I want to take pictures, but they won't let me."
And who knew such an angry storm, could create such a perfect night.
"We're just walking," says Rachel. "We thought it was pretty out. Kind of thought we'd just go out and enjoy it. It's kind of like it's just for us out here right now."
